Six medals and ten personal bests at the West Slovak Championships in Trnava

The final weekend of May brought the West Slovak Individual Championships to Trnava, where athletes from the U16, youth, junior and senior categories competed against some of the region's strongest opposition. ŠK Jablonica was represented by a group of athletes who once again demonstrated both their talent and determination.

Across a total of fourteen starts, our athletes collected six medals and an impressive ten personal best performances, making the championships one of the club's most successful meetings of the outdoor season so far.

The standout performance came from Tamara Svatíková. In the 100 m hurdles, she clocked an excellent 13.94 seconds, improving her personal best and securing the West Slovak championship title. She later added a silver medal in the 100 m sprint with a time of 12.01 seconds.

Another gold medal for ŠK Jablonica came from Ondrej Hudeček. Competing in the 3000 m race, he confirmed his strong form by winning the event in a new personal best of 9:45.66.

Our throwers also enjoyed an excellent day. Nina Zavadilová claimed silver in the discus throw with a personal best of 30.28 metres, while Vanesa Poláčková secured another silver medal in the javelin throw thanks to a new personal best of 32.04 metres.

Viktoria Nemčeková added a bronze medal in the 100 m hurdles with a time of 15.47 seconds. She also achieved personal bests in the shot put (9.38 m) and the 150 m sprint (20.44 seconds).

Further personal best performances came from Sára Dosoudilová, who improved to 8.90 seconds in the 60 m sprint, and Alžbeta Zonová, who recorded new personal bests in both the long jump and the 150 m sprint.

The final tally of six medals and ten personal bests is a clear reflection of the hard work invested by both athletes and coaches. Congratulations to all members of ŠK Jablonica for their performances and for proudly representing the club in Trnava.
