ŠK Jablonica collected experience and podium finishes at Běh o Malansků trnku
The Moravian-Slovak border region once again belonged to running. On May 16, 2026, the 19th edition of the traditional Běh o Malansků trnku race took place as part of the Moravian-Slovak Running Cup, GP Záhoria and GP Slovácka.
ŠK Jablonica was represented in children's categories as well as in the main adult race. For the club's young athletes, the event provided another valuable opportunity to compete against strong regional competition from Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
A strong performance came from Anežka Ochotnická, who finished 2nd in the girls 2019–2020 category with a time of 0:49. Another impressive result was achieved by Diana Ochotnická, who placed 4th among girls born in 2015–2016.
Other young athletes representing ŠK Jablonica also competed throughout the day. Laura Ochotnická raced in the younger girls category, Šimon Ochotnický competed among boys born in 2017–2018 and Veronika Ochotnická participated in the youngest girls category.
ŠK Jablonica was also represented in the main 6.4 km race. Miroslav Ochotnický finished in 37:46, while Miroslava Ochotnická completed the course in 38:33.
Běh o Malansků trnku once again highlighted the strength of regional running events that combine sport, community and family atmosphere across generations.
