Three Podium Finishes for ŠK Jablonica at the 2026 Malokarpatský Kros
The 2026 Malokarpatský Kros took place in Plavecký Mikuláš on Saturday, 25 July. The programme combined children's races over distances ranging from 70 to 800 metres with a seven-kilometre main race for adults. Athletes from ŠK Jablonica recorded ten starts and secured three podium finishes across the different age categories.
The strongest result among the boys came from Sebastian Jozefík. Competing in the 2015–2016 age group, he completed the 400-metre course in 1:21.8 and claimed victory. He finished more than eleven seconds ahead of the runner-up, adding another valuable result to his season.
ŠK Jablonica earned two podium places in the girls' 2021–2022 category. Linda Vozárová won the race in 30.0 seconds, while Vivien Kubisová finished second in 36.0 seconds. Veronika Ochotnická completed the club's strong showing by taking fourth place with a time of 44.8 seconds.
In the girls' 2013–2014 category, Laura Ochotnická finished fifth in 2:36.8. Diana Ochotnická placed sixth among the 2015–2016 girls after completing the 400-metre race in 1:33.0. Anežka Ochotnická also represented the club in the 2019–2020 category and finished tenth.
The boys' 2017–2018 race featured two more ŠK Jablonica athletes. Kristián Kubisa finished seventh in 1:15.2, while Šimon Ochotnický placed twelfth with a time of 1:25.3. Both gained further valuable racing experience in a field of thirteen young runners.
The club was also represented in the seven-kilometre main race. Miroslav Ochotnický completed the demanding course in 48:52.8, finishing 21st in the men's over-40 category and 101st overall in a field of more than one hundred participants.
With two victories, one second-place finish and several solid performances across the children's and adult categories, the Malokarpatský Kros was another productive competition for ŠK Jablonica. Beyond the results, the event offered further racing experience and another shared day of athletics in the surroundings of the Little Carpathians.
