Victory, podium finish and strong competition. ŠK Jablonica in Nitra
Strong competition, a wide range of disciplines and a full day of athletics. The regional team competition in Nitra tested the readiness of young athletes from ŠK Jablonica.
On Sunday, April 26, 2026, the first round of the West Slovak Athletics Association team competition took place in Nitra, bringing together athletes from all age categories – from the youngest children to adults.
ŠK Jablonica was represented by a total of 11 athletes who competed across multiple disciplines and gained valuable experience in strong regional competition.
The standout performance came from Nela Ďurišová, who won the 60 m race in the younger girls category. Another podium finish was achieved by Nina Zavadilová, who placed 2nd in the discus throw.
Strong performances were also delivered by other athletes – Matej Masár finished 3rd in his 60 m heat, while Viktória Nemčeková secured 2nd place in her 100 m heat.
ŠK Jablonica athletes also competed in middle-distance races, throws and jumps, including the 600 m, ball throw, long jump and shot put. Several performances were influenced by wind conditions.
The competition lasted throughout the day and featured high-quality organization and strong participation from clubs across the region. For the young athletes, it was another important step in the season, testing not only their performance but also their ability to handle a demanding competition schedule.
