Young athletes of ŠK Jablonica at the Senica Kids Athletics Cup

On Saturday, March 7, 2026, the third round of the Senica Kids Athletics Cup took place in the inflatable sports hall near the FK Senica stadium. The event was organized by the Athletics Club Senica in cooperation with the Slovak Athletics Federation and was intended for the youngest athletes born in 2017 and younger.

The competition was organized as a combined event, where children competed in disciplines focused on speed, coordination and strength. The program included the shuttle run, standing triple jump, medicine ball throw and a mixed team relay.

ŠK Jablonica had a strong representation at the event. The following young athletes represented the club: Linda Ďurišová, Linda Polakovičová, Laura Buchancová, Alex Ščibran, Matúš Búran, Zina Hajdučko, Lujza Lončíková, Teodor Hajdučko, Tadeáš Rehák, Alex Suchý and Nina Černáková.

Our youngest athletes delivered many determined performances and once again showed the most important thing in kids athletics – the joy of sport.

After counting the points from all three rounds of the Senica Kids Athletics Cup, several athletes from ŠK Jablonica achieved excellent overall results. In the 2017 category, Linda Ďurišová finished in third place overall.

In the 2018 category, the girls from ŠK Jablonica dominated the standings. Laura Buchancová won the overall ranking, Lujza Lončíková finished second and Zina Hajdučko placed third.

Linda Polakovičová also achieved a strong result by winning the third round in the 2018 category, while Laura Buchancová finished second.

A solid team performance was also delivered by the ŠK Jablonica relay team consisting of Ďurišová, Polakovičová, Buchancová and Búran, who finished in third place.

For many of the children, these competitions represent another important step on their sporting journey. Every race, jump or throw helps build confidence and a lasting connection to sport.
