Young athletes of ŠK Jablonica collected points and personal bests in Nové Zámky

Nové Zámky hosted another round of the West Slovak Athletics Association team competition for younger athletes and youth categories. ŠK Jablonica athletes once again demonstrated their progress through personal bests, race victories and valuable team points.

On May 24, athletes from ŠK Jablonica competed at the 3rd round of the ZsAZ team competition for younger athletes and the 2nd round for youth categories, held at the modern athletics stadium in Nové Zámky.

One of the strongest performances came from Sára Dosoudilová. She finished third in her 60 m hurdles race with a time of 11.08 seconds and later placed fifth in the long jump with a distance of 4.27 metres, earning valuable points for the team.

Anna Búranová also impressed by winning her 60 m heat in 10.58 seconds and improving her personal best in the long jump.

Nela Ďurišová delivered consistent performances across multiple events. She ran 9.29 seconds in the 60 m sprint and finished ninth in the cricket ball throw with a mark of 33.60 metres. Nataša Masárová improved her personal best in the 150 m while also competing strongly in the long jump and throwing events.

The youngest girls brought special excitement to the team. In one of the preparatory category heats, ŠK Jablonica athletes occupied the first three places. Linda Ďurišová won the race in 10.75 seconds, followed by Linda Polakovičová in second and Zina Hajdučko in third place.

Among the boys, Matej Masár stood out by finishing second in his 60 m heat with a time of 9.41 seconds. Additional team points came from the 4 × 60 m relay team consisting of Masár, Hazucha, Hubinský and Jozefík.

The results from Nové Zámky once again confirmed the steady development of ŠK Jablonica's young athletes. For many competitors it was an opportunity to improve personal bests, while others gained valuable experience competing against clubs from across western Slovakia.
