Young Athletes of ŠK Jablonica Set New Personal Bests in Skalica
Athletes from ŠK Jablonica competed on June 7 at the 2nd round of the West Slovak Athletics Association team championships for youth, juniors and seniors, combined with the 4th round of the younger age-group league held in Skalica.
Throughout the day, the club's athletes took part in several disciplines and achieved a number of personal best performances.
One of the strongest results came from Viktória Nemčeková, who finished seventh in the girls' shot put competition with a throw of 8.92 metres.
In the hurdles events, Sára Dosoudilová recorded a new personal best of 10.75 seconds in the 60 m hurdles, while Sára Ester Manďáková also improved her personal record with a time of 11.34 seconds.
In the long jump, Sebastián Jozefík reached 3.67 metres, while Matej Masár achieved a new personal best with 2.95 metres.
The younger girls also delivered solid performances in the ball throw event. Nela Ďurišová produced the club's best result with a throw of 34.00 metres. Natália Masárová improved her personal best to 31.50 metres, Sára Ester Manďáková threw 27.90 metres and Nelly Mikúšková achieved a personal best of 27.30 metres.
Additional personal bests were recorded by Diana Ochotnická (21.80 m), Anna Búranová (18.50 m), Lucia Čížková (18.20 m) and Klára Polakovičová (13.30 m). Eliška Mikúšková and Eliška Tomanová also contributed valuable performances for the club.
The competition in Skalica once again confirmed the steady progress of ŠK Jablonica athletes. Their commitment in training is reflected in improving performances, valuable race experience and an increasing number of personal records.
