Young ŠK Jablonica Athletes Collected Valuable Experience and Personal Bests in Skalica
On Saturday, 21 June 2026, the athletics stadium in Skalica hosted the 5th Round of the West Slovak Athletics Association Team Competition for U14 athletes and the 3rd Round for the Youth Category. ŠK Jablonica was represented by a large group of young athletes who competed in numerous events, collected valuable points for their teams and, above all, continued their athletic development.
One of the highlights of the competition was the number of new personal best performances. Eliška Tomanová improved her long jump mark, Laura Ochotnická achieved personal bests in both the long jump and the 60 metres, David Babiar improved in the cricket ball throw and the 60 metres, Šimon Ochotnický recorded a personal best in the medicine ball throw, while Barbora Suchá also celebrated a new personal best in the long jump. These improvements clearly demonstrate the progress achieved through consistent training.
A particularly strong performance came from Eliška Tomanová, who finished 8th in the girls' long jump competition. Laura Ochotnická also delivered an excellent performance, combining valuable team points with two personal bests. The youngest members of the club once again showed great determination and enthusiasm while gaining important competition experience.
Competitions like this are not only about podium finishes. Every point earned for the team, every personal best and every race contributes to the long-term development of young athletes. Events such as these help build confidence, teamwork and a lifelong passion for athletics.
Congratulations to all our athletes for their performances and thank you for proudly representing ŠK Jablonica.
