Záhorie Children’s Running Cup 2025 concluded with ceremonial awards

On March 7, 2026, the Záhorie Children's Running Cup season for 2025 officially concluded with a ceremonial awards event held in Borský Svätý Jur. The event once again combined sport with a strong community atmosphere.

The evening began with a performance by the brass quartet Watorito, followed by a welcome speech from the mayor, Mgr. Juraj Smolár. The program was hosted by Mgr. Ľuba Uhrová, who was recognized for her contribution to the league.

ŠK Jablonica had a strong presence at the awards ceremony, highlighting the club's consistent work with young athletes.

Among the biggest successes were victories by Patrik Polák in the younger boys category and Matias Michalovič, who won both the older boys and youth categories.

Several other athletes achieved podium finishes. Nikol Poláková won the youngest girls category, while Vivien Kubisová and Veronika Ochotnická finished second and third among preschool girls. Sebastián Jozefík placed third in the youngest boys category, and Diana Ochotnická achieved the same position among the youngest girls. Viktória Nemčeková secured third place in the older girls category.

A special moment of the evening was the recognition of athletes who completed all 15 races of the series. ŠK Jablonica was strongly represented in this group, confirming the dedication and consistency of its young athletes.

The highlight for the club came in the overall standings, where both Patrik Polák and Matias Michalovič became absolute winners of the entire series with 748 points each.

The ceremony concluded with all award-winning children gathering on stage, celebrating together and marking the end of a successful season.

The Záhorie Children's Running Cup continues to play an important role in youth athletics by discovering talent and building a long-term relationship between children and sport.
